Carpool in Delhi NCR: Sharing the Drive Between Delhi, Gurugram and Noida

Delhi NCR is really one city with three downtowns. People live in Dwarka and work in Gurugram, live in Indirapuram and work in Noida, live in Faridabad and work in Okhla. The Metro carries a lot of them. The rest drive, and most drive alone.
Look at NH-48 on any weekday morning: long lines of cars with one person inside, all going from Delhi to Cyber City at the same time.
The commutes that suit carpooling in Delhi NCR
- Dwarka and West Delhi to Gurugram's Cyber City and Udyog Vihar, on NH-48 or the Dwarka Expressway.
- South Delhi to Golf Course Road and Sohna Road.
- East Delhi and Ghaziabad to Noida's Sector 62 and the Expressway offices.
- Noida to Gurugram. One of the longest daily commutes in the region.
- Faridabad to Delhi and Gurugram.
What it saves
The driver sets a share of the fuel and any tolls, and riders see it before they book. An example:
- A 50 km round trip in a petrol hatchback uses about 3.3 litres. Owners of popular hatchbacks report around 15–17 km a litre in city driving; this uses 15.
- With petrol in Delhi at ₹102.12 a litre, that is about ₹340 a day.
- Over 22 working days, ₹7,480 a month.
- Shared between two people, ₹3,740 each. Shared between four, ₹1,870 each.
On a long NCR commute, that is one of the biggest savings you can make without changing where you live or work.

Tips for a smooth carpool in NCR
- Choose a pickup point on the driver's route, such as a Metro station gate or a main-road bus stop, so the car never has to turn into a colony.
- Fix a waiting time. Five minutes is fair; after that the car leaves, so nobody is late.
- Split tolls along with fuel, and settle the same day.
- In winter, leave earlier. Fog slows the expressways from December to January.
Already driving to work? Offer your seats
If you drive from Dwarka, Indirapuram or Faridabad to an office hub every day, your empty seats can pay for part of your fuel. Post the route once on ZoinZo and set it to repeat every weekday. You see each person's profile and ratings before you accept them.
