Carpool from Gurgaon to Jaipur, Alwar and Sonipat

Gurgaon is where a lot of Haryana and Rajasthan comes to work. On Friday evening the expressways out of the city fill with people heading home to Jaipur, Alwar, Sonipat and further, and on Sunday night or Monday morning they all drive back. Many of those cars have three empty seats.
Sharing the trip fills them and splits the fuel and tolls.
The routes
- Gurgaon to Jaipur, about 230 km on NH-48.
- Gurgaon to Alwar, about 130 km, through Sohna.
- Gurgaon to Sonipat, about 80 km on the KMP expressway.
- The same trips back to Gurgaon on Sunday or Monday.
People also carpool every day between Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida.
What it costs
The driver sets a share of the fuel and tolls, and riders see it before they book. An example for one way, in a petrol hatchback at around 18 km a litre on the highway, which is what owners of popular hatchbacks report, and petrol in Gurugram at ₹102.97 a litre:
- Gurgaon to Jaipur: about 12.8 litres, ₹1,316. Shared by four, ₹329 each.
